Jaime Owens
Lead Pastor
Jaime grew up in small-town Massachusetts. Having grown up a nominal Roman Catholic, Jaime had little interest in God beyond maintaining a veneer of morality, which he often cast off at his own convenience. By God’s grace, while in college, Jaime was born again while hearing a sermon on Luke 15. Upon graduation, Jaime served as a police officer, but after three years, though he loved the work, he resigned and moved to Louisville, Kentucky to pursue a Master of Divinity. During his studies, he met Dr. Mark Dever, Senior Pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, and moved to Washington, DC to be an intern and serve as Mark’s personal assistant for the next two years. After this time, he moved to Providence, RI and served as Associate Pastor at Grace Harbor Church for the next year and a half. Jaime was called to be Senior Pastor of Tremont Temple in April of 2017.
He is married to Adriana and is daddy to Mercy, Audrey, Jack, and Noah. Jaime holds a B.S. from Bridgewater State University in Criminal Justice, an M.Div from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Th.M with a focus on preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Jaime’s interests include being a punching bag to Jack and Noah, a tea-party guest at Mercy and Audrey’s invitation, a Crossfit athlete, and a coffee snob.
Jesse Scheumann
Elder
Jesse was raised in Minnesota and started a family there with his wife Merissa in 2012. In 2018, they moved to the Boston suburbs for him to teach Hebrew at Sattler College, where he now serves as Associate Professor of Biblical and Religious Studies. They became members of Tremont in 2019 where he was called to serve as a deacon in the spring of 2021 and as a lay elder in the fall of 2022. Being raised in a Christian home, Jesse has been following Jesus since he was five. While he has often stumbled, God has persevered him in faith, keeping him from falling headlong, and the Gospel has become even more precious over the years. His favorite pastime is doing “Daddy playtime” with his five children each day for an hour after dinner.
Jesse holds a PhD with a specialization in Hebrew from the University of the Free State in South Africa. He holds an MA in Linguistics from the University of Minnesota, an MDiv and ThM from Bethlehem College and Seminary, and a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies from University of Northwestern – St. Paul.
Ellison Domkap
Elder
Originally from Nigeria, Ellison got married to Olufemi (‘Femi) in 2004. They are blessed with 2 boys, 2 girls and an adopted daughter. Growing up in a non-Christian home, Ellison did not accept Christ until after high school when he was attracted to a neighborhood church through the church’s youth sports ministry. Going through discipleship training helped to lay a foundation in Ellison’s faith and growth in the knowledge of Christ. It also helped him to discover God’s plan and purpose for his life. In 2017, Ellison resigned from his job at the University of Jos (Theater & Film Arts Department), Plateau State, Nigeria where he taught for 12 years to go into full time ministry with Elratam – a drama, music, and film production Ministry that God used him to start in 1996/1997. His ministry trajectory brought him to the US for seminary education at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where he completed a master’s degree program in urban ministry leadership in 2019.
Ellison holds MA in Theology, BA and MA in Theater Arts, diploma certificates in filmmaking from New York Film Academy and London Film Academy. He is currently in the final year of his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program in Theology and Arts. Ellison specializes in writing and directing plays and movies. He seeks to equip artists, to ground creative and media arts, and artistic productions in sound biblical theology. He joined Tremont Temple in 2017 and was called to serve as lay elder in the fall of 2022.
Jane Crump
Secretary
As is typical of most Church Admin Jane needs to be a jack of all trades. Little did she know that all those years of working as a receptionist, Office Manager, and then in the Executive space as a Senior Admin and Leadership and Organization Development Coordinator were all to prepare her for this ministry.
In Jane’s words: My husband and I joined TTBC in 1995 after serving almost 20 years at another church. I’m grateful to have been able to serve here in different ways over the years, but my absolute joy has been singing with the Worship Team, working as the church’s admin, and hosting a Small Group in our home with my husband, Norman. John 21:15-17 Jesus repeatedly tells Peter to feed his sheep. I believe God calls us to use the life experiences he has given us for his honor and Glory. In that way, we really do feed his sheep. My philosophy: Every Little Bit Helps. I mean really – look what Jesus did with five loaves and two fishes!
Edward Lopez
Building Manager
I started my property management career at Equinox Fitness Club. I was with the company for 13 years, overseeing three different properties. Prior to this, I worked for an Analogic Corporation as an electromechanical technician for two years.
I’m a father of six children, three boys and three girls, which I love very much. I enjoy ocean water, jet skiing, fishing, and camping with my family.
